India Revokes 2009 Wheat Export Amendments, Reverts to 2007 Policy Under Foreign Trade Act for Public Interest

The Government of India, through the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, has rescinded Notification No. 115 (RE-2009)/2004-09 dated July 3, 2009, with immediate effect. This action nullifies the amendments made to Notification No. 33 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated October 8, 2007, concerning the export of wheat by specified companies. The decision is issued under the powers conferred by the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, in the public interest.
