Govt amends excise notifications: "Cattle feed" now "animal feed" and updates rates to Rs. 2 per litre under section 5A.

The Central Government has amended Notification Nos. 8/90-C.E. and 12/90-C.E. under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, as per Notification No. 104/90-C.E. dated May 16, 1990. The amendments involve replacing "cattle feed" with "animal feed" in Notification No. 8/90-C.E. and modifying the entry against Sl. No. 4 in the table of Notification No. 12/90-C.E. to "Rs. 2 per litre." These changes are made in the public interest under the authority granted by section 5A of the Act.
