Central Government updates exchange rates for multiple currencies under Customs Act, 1962, effective from August 26, 1990.

The Central Government has amended Notification No. 38/90-Cus. (N.T.), dated 27th June 1990, concerning exchange rates under the Customs Act, 1962, and the Indian Stamp Act, 1899. The amendment involves updating the exchange rates for several currencies, including Austrian Schillings (62.85), Belgian Francs (184.00), Danish Kroners (34.45), Deutsche Marks (8.9675), Dutch Guilders (10.1050), French Francs (30.16), Italian Lire (6649), and Swiss Francs (7.3925). These revised rates are effective from 26th August 1990.
