Central Government Exempts Nickel Goods from Partial Customs Duty under Notification No. 39/95-Cus, Promoting Public Interest.

Notification No. 39/95-Cus, dated March 16, 1995, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, exempts certain nickel and related articles from a portion of the customs duty specified in the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The exemption applies to goods under Heading Nos. 76.01 or 76.02, which are subject to a 10% ad valorem duty, and goods under Heading Nos. 76.03 to 76.19, which are subject to a 40% ad valorem duty. The exemption is granted in the public interest and is subject to conditions specified in the notification.
