Customs Tariff Modified: Duty Rate Reduced from 50% to 40% Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act, 1962.

Notification No. 33/2004-Customs, dated February 3, 2004, amends the earlier Notification No. 136/90-Customs from March 20, 1990. Exercising powers under Section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, the Central Government has deemed it necessary in the public interest to modify the customs tariff. Specifically, the figures "50%" in the notification's table are replaced with "40%." This amendment is documented under F.No.495/02/2004-Cus. VI and was last amended by Notification No. 28/2003-Customs on March 1, 2003.
