India Amends Customs Notification to Include Cambodia for Preferential Import Duty Rates Effective August 1, 2011.

The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has amended Notification No. 46/2011-Customs to include Cambodia in the list of countries eligible for preferential rates of duty on imports. This amendment, issued under Notification No. 68/2011-Customs, will take effect from August 1, 2011. The change is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. The amendment involves adding Cambodia as serial number 9 in the Appendix I of the original notification.
