Govt Extends Project Eligibility for The Association of People with Disability Under Section 35AC, No Cost Change

The Central Government has extended the eligibility of a project by The Association of People with Disability under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in 2009 for three years, the project includes training and employment in urban and rural areas, rural education, a horticulture training unit, and rehabilitation and mobility aids. The extension is for an additional three years, covering the financial years 2012-13 and 2013-14, with no changes to the approved cost of Rs. 5.19 crore. No certificate will be issued for the already lapsed financial year 2011-12.
