Amendment to Customs Notification Modifies Annexure Serial No. 1(xxv) Effective January 1, 2007, in Public Interest.

Notification No. 126/2006-Customs, dated December 30, 2006, amends Notification No. 85/98-Customs, dated November 5, 1998, under the Customs Act, 1962. The amendment modifies the Annexure in Serial No. 1 (xxv) by replacing "85.21, 85.28" with "8521, 8528 other than input or output units, whether or not containing storage units in the same housing." This change is made in the public interest and takes effect from January 1, 2007. The principal notification was initially published on June 2, 1998, and last amended on April 12, 2002.
