India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Ferro Silicon from South Africa and Macedonia per Notification No. 92/2003

The Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on imports of ferro silicon originating from South Africa and Macedonia, as per Notification No. 92/2003 dated June 11, 2003. This decision follows findings that ferro silicon was being imported below normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duty, effective from August 13, 2002, is calculated as the difference between a specified amount of $728.44 per metric tonne and the landed value of the imports. The duty is payable in Indian currency, with the exchange rate determined by the Customs Act, 1962.
