Central Government Revises Export Policy for Chrome Ore Fines; Only MMTC Limited Authorized for Export.

The Central Government has amended Schedule 2 of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items for 2004-2009. Effective immediately, the entry at Serial No. 83 under Table B is revised. The tariff items with HS Codes 26100030 and 16100040, pertaining to beneficiated chrome ore fines/concentrates with a maximum feed grade of less than 42% Cr2O3, are now subject to a specified export policy. These items can only be exported through MMTC Limited. This amendment is issued in the public interest by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
