Import Rules Amended: Power Tillers Must Meet Emission Norms per Chapter 84, ITC (HS) Schedule I Change

The Central Government has amended Schedule I (Imports) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items for 2004-09, under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 and the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09. A new provision is added to Chapter 84, specifying that the import of Power Tillers must adhere to emission norms as per the notification by the Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways dated September 16, 2005. This amendment is issued in the public interest and is signed by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
