Central Government Designates SEZ in South 24 Parganas as Inland Container Depot for IT Under Customs Act Section 7

The Central Government, exercising its powers under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, has designated the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Village Jagtala and Bangla, District South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, as an Inland Container Depot (ICD) for information technology. This designation, effective from an unspecified date in 2008, is under Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962. The SEZ is managed by a private entity.
