No. S37 (Misc)-37/2019(Prev.)SOA Dated: 01.05.2019 Public Notice No. 30/2019 Subject: Export General Manifest to be submitted on ICEGATE without hard copy to Customs Attention of all the Shipping Lines, Trade and stake holders is drawn to the filing of Export General Manifest (EGM) under Section 41 of Customs Act, 1962 which requires filing of EGM by the Shipping Lines/Shipping Agents before the departure of the vessel carrying export goods. 2. Shipping Lines/Shipping Agents are still submitting additional hard copy of EGM already filed on ICEGATE in the Custom House and Docks. 3. Henceforth, Shipping Lines/Steamer Agents will stop submitting hard copy of EGM which has already been filed electronically in ICEGATE. The hard copy is not required as the details are available in the System. It is the responsibility of the Shipping Lines/Shipping Agents to file EGM correctly in ICEGATE without any error before the departure of the vessel. 4.
