To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Plot No. TP-2, Industrial Estate, Rai, Sonepat in the State of Haryana - S. O. 2705 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION 27/10/2009 S. O. 2705 (E) - Whereas M/s. DLF Limited, has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Plot No. TP-2, Industrial Estate, Rai, Sonepat in the State of Haryana; And whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , has notified the total area of 10.2498 hectares at Plot No. TP-2, Industrial Estate, Rai, Sonepat in the State of Haryana as Special Economic Zone in the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification No. S.O.2097(E), dated 22nd August, 2008 ; And whereas M/s. DLF Limited has proposed to de-notify an area of 10.2498 hectares at Plot No. TP-2, Industrial Estate, Rai, Sonepat in the State of Haryana and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for denotification at Haryana on 5th June, 2009; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zone Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) dated 22nd day of August 2008 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number S.O.2097(E) dated the 22nd August, 2008 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
