Amendment in the notification No. 207/89-Customs, dated the 17th July, 1989 19 th July, 2005 Notification No.70 /2005 - Customs In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 207/89-Customs, dated the 17th July, 1989, namely:- In the said notification, for the words and figures "Rs. 50,000", the words and figures "Rs. 1,00,000" shall be substituted. F.No. 450/31/2005-Cus-IV Ajay Under Secretary to the Government of India Note .- The principal notification No. 207/89-Customs, dated the 17th July, 1989, was published in the Gazette of India vide number G.S.R. 702 (E), dated the 17th July, 1989 and was last amended vide notification No. 45/92-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1992[G.S.R. 155(E), dated the 1st March, 1992].
