The period of validity of prohibition on exports of Pulses (except kabuli chana) shall be extended up to 31/03/2008 NOTIFICATION NO. 53/2006, DT. 09/03/2007 S.O.(E) - In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 (as amended from time to time), the Central Government hereby substitutes the Notification No.17(RE-2006)/2004-2009 dated 03.07.2006 and No.19(RE-2006)/2004-2009 dated 04.07.2006 respectively by the following: 1 [ (i) The period of validity of prohibition on exports of Pulses (except Kabuli Chana) shall be extended upto 31.3.2010. (ii) The transitional arrangements under Para 1.5 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, as amended from time to time, shall not be applicable for export of Pulses. [ 3 (iii) the prohibition on export of pulses shall not be applicable for export of 500 MTs of Yellow Split Peas (Matar Dal) to Nepal for United Nations World Food Programme to be exported through the following Indian Companies:- (1) M/s. Mahalaxmi Gramodyog Sansthan, Kanpur - 100 MT (2) M/s. Bajrang Dal Mill, Kanpur - 200 MT (3) M/s. Anandeshwar Agro Food P. Ltd - 200 MT". The prohibition shall not be applicable to export of 1000 tonnes of pulses to The Republic of Mauritius by MMTC. ] ." The above (i) and (ii) shall be inserted in paragraph 3 of Notification No.15(RE-2006)/2004-2009 dated 27.06.2006. 2. This issues in Public Interest.
