Prior to substitution, regulation 16A inserted by SEBI (Portfolio Managers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2000, w.e,f. 22-02-2000 read as under: 16A. That the portfolio manager may manage funds raised or collected or brought from outside India in accordance with Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Institutional Investors) Regulations, 1995. 2 Substituted for Foreign institutional investors and sub-accounts registered with the Board by the SEBI (Foreign Portfolio Investors) Regulations, 2014, w.e.f. 7-1-2014.
