National Aviation Company of India Ltd. (NACIL), formerly known as M/s. Indian Airlines Ltd. national domestic carrier duly approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for carriage of passengers and cargo. 2) And whereas M/s. National Aviation Company of India Ltd., (NACIL), is presently having its transshipment warehousing facility allotted by Mumbai International Airports Ltd. (MIAL), located adjacent to the Gate No. 2A, CSI Airport, notified under section 8 of Customs Act, 1962 vide Notification No. 02/2009 dated 13.01.2009. 3) M/s. National Aviation Company of India Ltd., (NACIL) has also been approved as Custodian of imported cargo meant for transshipment to various Customs Airports in India and abroad on flights operated by them from CSI Airport, Mumbai vide Notification 01/2013 dated 01/04/2013 issued by Commissioner of Customs (Import), Air Cargo Complex, Sahar, Mumbai. 4) And whereas M/s. Air India Ltd. formerly known as M/s. National Aviation Company of India Ltd. (NACIL), vide letter no. BOM:CGO:INT:035 dated 20.01.2014, has requested renewal of permission as Custodian of imported cargo meant for transshipment to various Customs Airports in India on flights operated by them from CSI Airport, Mumbai. M/s. Air India Ltd. formerly known as M/s. National Aviation Company of India Ltd. (NACIL), has submitted an Import Transshipment Bond of ₹ 750,00,00,000/- (Rs. Seven hundred Fifty Crores only) valid up to 15/01/2019. 5) Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in me under Section 45 (1) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, Roopam Kapoor, Commissioner of Customs (Export), Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai, hereby approve M/s. Air India Ltd. formerly known as M/s. National Aviation Company of India Ltd. (NACIL), as Custodian of the imported goods meant for transshipment to Gateway Airports in India. The permission will be valid till 31.03.2014. 6) Transshipment of imported cargo, as approved by this notification will be governed by : (a) The provisions of Chapter VIII of the Customs Act, 1962; (b) Goods Imported (Conditions of Transshipment) Regulations, 1995; (c) Board s Circular No. 06/2007-Cus dated 22.01.2007; (d) Public Notice No. 09/2007 dated 02.03.2007; (e) Other Rules, Notifications, Regulations, Public Notices, instructions issued from time to time; (f) Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 (as amended).
