Public Notice No.15/2008 dtd. 06.02.08 was issued by this office specifying the amount of Bank Guarantee to be taken in cases as specified therein. 2. It has been brought to notice by Trade that there is delay in cancellation of Bank Guarantees on fulfillment of Notification conditions, which is causing hardship to the Importer/Exporters. 3. Therefore, instructions have been issued that the Bank guarantees should be finalized within one month of submission of necessary documents by the Importer/Exporter or his representative in support of fulfillment of the conditions specified in Notification No. 104/94-Cus, Notfn.
