Certificate. 2. The Port Clearance is granted in terms of Section 42 of Customs Act, 1962. The following mandatory documents are required to be produced for Port Clearance alongwith the prescribed application as enclosed in Annexure-I:- 1.Indian Light House Dues (ILH) Certificate. 2.NOC from Immigration Department. 3.Port Health Certificate. 4.Ship Registry Certificate. 5.Safety Construction Certificate. 6.Safety Radio Certificate. 7.Safety Equipment Certificate. 8.Load Line Certificate. 9.International Oil Pollution Prevention (IOPP) Certificate. 10.Port Dues Certificate/NMPT Clearance Certificate. 11.Income Tax Certificate (for Export Cargo). 3. On receipt of such application, the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner, IGM/EGM Section will verify the correctness of entry inward entry outward, light dues payment calculation, genuineness of all certificates for the concerned vessel and thereafter grant Port Clearance. Beyond office hours including Saturday, Sunday and Holidays, the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner, Docks will grant the Port Clearance after verifying all the documents. 4. Above Public notice shall come into effect immediately. 5. Annexure-I APPLICATION FORMAT FOR APPLYING FOR PORT CLEARANCE To The Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs, IGM/EGM Section/ Docks, New Customs House, Panambur, Mangalore 575 010 Madam/Sir, Subject: Request to issue Port Clearance under Section 42 of Customs Act, 1962 Reg Ref: Public Notice No.15/2024 ************ It is to inform that the Vessel _____________ (vessel name) carrying cargo _____________________ (cargo name) arrived at New Mangalore Port from the port of _______________ (last port name) on ________ (date). The vessel __________ (Vessel Name) is sailing outwards on ________ (date) for the port _____________________ (destination port name) with cargo as per manifest _____________ (cargo name) and passengers/crew as per annexed list i.e. Passengers ____ and Crew ______. The following documents are hereby submitted for kind perusal please:- 1.Indian Light House Dues (ILH) Certificate. 2.NOC from Immigration Department. 3.Port Health Certificate. 4.Ship Registry Certificate. 5.Safety Construction Certificate. 6.Safety Radio Certificate. 7.Safety Equipment Certificate. 8.Load Line Certificate. 9.International Oil Pollution Prevention (IOPP) Certificate. 10.Port Dues Certificate/NMPT Clearance Certificate. 11.Income Tax Certificate (for Export Cargo). In the event of any failure/discrepancy on our part in respect of documents submitted, suitable action shall be initiated against us by the Customs as per the provisions under Customs Act, 1962. The vessel will be neither carrying any dangerous drugs, nor any consignments of Arms and Ammunition, hazardous substance, fissionable material like Uranium, plutonium and thorium in the same bottom.
