Marking of name and address of the manufacturer of certain blended yarn on export packing by Central Excise authority Circular No. 13/88 Dated 26-4-1988 [From F. No. 261 /52/9/88-CX.8] Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject : Marking of name and address of the manufacturer of certain blended yarn on Export packing by Central Excise authority. I am directed to say that it has been represented by the Southern India Mills Association, Coimbatore, that the requirement of indicating the names of the manufacturer / owner and their address on the export packages (as required under sub-rule (1) of Rule 185 of CE Rules, 1944) should not be insisted upon in the case of Polyester/Cotton blended yarn, Polyester/Viscose blended yarn/Viscose/Cotton blended yarn 100% Viscose spun yarn also as permitted in the case of cotton yarn. The matter has been examined by the Board. It has been decided to allow to exporters of aforesaid yarn also not to indicate the name and address of manufacturer/owner on the export packages (if so desired by them) on an experimental basis, for a period of one year (i.e., 1988-89) only. A report on the working of these instructions may be sent at the end of the year 1988-89 so as to reach here by 7th April, 1989. In respect of all other commodities, Board's instructions issued vide F. No. 261/52/2/88-CX.8, dated 19-1-1988 may be strictly adhered to. The above instructions may be brought to the notice of the field formations.
