Seeks to further amend Notification No. 69/2011-Customs, dated 29th July, 2011 so as to provide a concessional rate of basic customs duty in respect of tariff item 84082020 [engines of a kind used for the propulsion of motor vehicles – of cylinder capacity exceeding 250 cc] and 87084000 [gear box and parts thereof, of motor vehicles], w.e.f. 1st of January, 2016 at 5.94% and 8.13%, respectively, when imported under the India-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IJCEPA) - 57/2015 - Customs -Tariff

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE (DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE) Notification No. 57/ 2015 - Customs New Delhi, dated the 14 th December, 2015 G.S.R. 967(E) .- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.69/2011-Customs dated the 29 th July, 2011, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 593 (E), dated the 29 th July, 2011 , namely:- In the said notification, in the Table,- (a) against S. No. 521, for the entry in column (4), the entry 5.94 shall be substituted; (b) against S. No. 746, for the entry in column (4), the entry 8.13 shall be substituted. 2. This notification shall come into force with effect from the 1 st day of January, 2016 [F.
