Seeks to amend notification No. 49/2012 - Customs (ADD) dated the 26th November,2012 to modify the amount of anti-dumping duty on import of Caustic Soda originating in or exported from Iran, Saudi Arabia and USA. - 39/2017 - Anti Dumping Duty

MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue) NOTIFICATION No. 39/2017-Customs (ADD) New Delhi, the 23rd August, 2017 G.S.R.1059 (E).- Whereas, the Designated Authority, vide notification No. 15/19/2015-DGAD, dated the 22nd January, 2016 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part I, Section 1, dated the 22nd January, 2016, had initiated Mid-Term Review Investigation in terms of sub-section (5) of section 9A of Customs Tariff Act 1975 (51 of 1975) (hereinafter referred to as Customs Tariff Act ), read with rule 23 of the Customs Tariff (identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-Dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995 ( hereinafter referred to as the Anti-Dumping Rules) in the matter of continuation of anti-dumping duty on imports of Caustic Soda (hereinafter referred to as subject goods), falling under sub-heading 2815 11 and 2815 12 of Chapter 28 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act , originating in, or exported from Iran, Saudi Arabia and USA (hereinafter referred to as subject countries) imposed vide notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 49/2012-Customs (ADD), dated the 26th November 2012, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II-Section 3 (i), vide number G.S.R.847 (E), dated the 26th November, 2012 .
