Central Government specifies the following institutes of management u/s 10(10C)(viii) NOTIFICATION NO. S.O.475 ( E ) DATED 28-6-1994 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause ( viii ) of clause (10C) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby specifies the following institutes of management for the purposes of said clause, namely :-- ( i ) Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (21 of 1860), on 11th December, 1961 ; ( ii ) Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, registered under the Mysore Societies Registration Act, 1960 (17 of 1960), on 27th March, 1972 ; ( iii ) Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (21 of 1860), on 14th November, 1961 ; ( iv ) Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (21 of 1860), on 27th July, 1984 ; [No. 9536/F.
