Central Government de-notifies an area of 0.242 hectare and notifies an area of 0.683 hectare thereby making the resultant notified area as 27.434 hectares at “Global Village”, Pattenagere/Mylsandra Villages, Off-Mysore Road, RVCE Post, Bangalore District in the State of Karnataka - S.O. 5137 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 9th December, 2021 S.O. 5137(E). -Whereas, M/s. Tanglin Developments Limited had proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) hereinafter referred to as the Act, to set up a Sector Specific SEZ for Information Technology/Information Technology Enabled Services at Global Village , Pattenagere/Mylsandra Villages, Off-Mysore Road, RVCE Post, Bangalore District in the State of Karnataka; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified the following areas at above Special Economic Zone as per the details given below in the table: - S. Tanglin Developments Limited for transfer of Global Village Tech Parks SEZ from M/s. Tanglin Developments Limited to M/s. Global Village (GV) Tech Parks Private Limited; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. G V Tech Parks Private Limited has now proposed for decrease in area of 0.242 hectare and increase in area of 0.683 hectare at the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Karnataka has given its approval for decrease in area of 0.242 hectare vide letter No. Cl 182 SPI 2020 dated 03rd July, 2021; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin-SEZ has recommended the proposal for decrease in area of 0.242 hectare and increase in area of 0.683 hectare at the Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled and the Central Government after considering the said proposal approved and conveyed it on 07th December, 2021. The de-notified land will be utilized towards creation of IT infrastructure (Non SEZ) as per Government of Karnataka letter No. Cl 182 SPI 2020 dated 03rd July, 2021; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 0.242 hectare and notifies an area of 0.683 hectare at above special economic zone, thereby making the resultant notified area as 27.434 hectares.
