SEZ for IT and ITES at Doddanakundi Industrial Area, Bangalore District, State of Karnataka - 1.97 hectares area notified thereby making resultant area as 2.63 hectares. - S.O. 4670(E). - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 24th October, 2023 S.O. 4670(E). Whereas, M/s. Bagmane Developers Pvt. Ltd, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Survey No. 79(part), Doddanekundi Village, Doddanakundi Industrial Area, Bangalore District in the State of Karnataka; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 4.60 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 1690(E) dated 22nd April, 2021; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Bagmane Developers Pvt. Ltd. has now proposed for de-notification of 1.97 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Karnataka has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No.CI 364 SPI 2020 dated 9th August, 2023; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 1.97 hectares of the Special Economic Zone. Further, the area after the proposed de-notification will be utilized for construction of IT infrastructure for non-SEZ units; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 1.97 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 2.63 hectares.
