To setup a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at 15, Shivaji Marg, in the National Capital Territory of Delhi . MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 23rd January, 2009 S.O. 291(E).- Whereas M/s. Shivajimarg Properties Ltd. a fully Private Organization in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, had proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act; 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to setup a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at 15, Shivaji Marg, in the National Capital Territory of Delhi; And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, has notified the total area of 10.021 hectares as per table below at 15, Shivaji Marg, in the National Capital Territory of Delhi as Special Economic Zone in the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification number S.O. 1453 (E) dated the 16th day of June, 2008 : TABLE Sl. Shivajimarg Properties Ltd., has now proposed to de-notify the said area of 10.021 hectares mentioned in the abovesaid Table, at 15, Shivaji Marg, in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for de-notification of the said area of 10.021 hectares at 15, Shivaji Marg on the 2nd day of January, 2009; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zone Act; 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) dated the 16th day of June, 2008 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number S.O. 1453 (E) dated the 16th June, 2008 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
