CBEC reconstitutes Chief Commissioners Panel for review cases in Bangalore - Amends Notification No. 6/2007-Central Excise (NT), dated 12th February, 2007 Notification No. 16/2010 -CX.(N.T.) Dated: April 8, 2010 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1B) of section 35B of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) , and in suppression of the notifications of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No. 6/2007-Central Excise (N.T), number G.S.R.77(E), dated the 12th February, 2007 , notification No 02/2008(N.T.) dated 15th January,2008 vide number G.S.R. 32(E) dated 15th January, 2008, notification No 26/2008(N.T.) dated 27th May, 2008 vide number G.S.R. 404(E) dated 27th May, 2008 and notification No 37/2008(N.T.) dated 25 September, 2008 vide number G.S.R. 680(E) dated 25 September, 2008, the Central Board of Excise and Customs constitutes Committees, consisting of Commissioners specified in column (2) for the area falling within their respective jurisdiction specified in the corresponding entry in Column (3) of the said Table :- In the said notification, for the Table, the following Table shall be substituted, namely:- Table Sl.No. Committees Area of jurisdiction (1) (2) (3) 1 Commissioner of Central Excise and Service Tax , Large Tax Payers Unit, Bangalore and Commissioner of Central Excise, Bangalore-III Commissioner of Central Excise (Appeals), Large Tax Payers Unit, Bangalore. 2 Commissioner of Central Excise and Service Tax , Large Tax Payers Unit, Chennaiand Commissioner of Central Excise, Chennai-I Commissioner of Central Excise (Appeals), Large Tax Payers Unit, Chennai. 3 Commissioner of Central Excise and Service Tax , Large Tax Payers Unit, Mumbai and Commissioner of Service Tax II, Mumbai Commissioner of Central Excise and Service Tax (Appeals), Large Tax Payers Unit, Mumbai. 4 Commissioner (Central Excise and Service Tax) Large Taxpayer Unit, Delhi and Commissioner of Central Excise, Delhi I, New Delhi Commissioner of Central Excise and Service Tax (Appeals), Large Tax Unit, Delhi F.No.390/12/2005-JC(BMB) Mohan Lal Under Secretary(Judicial Cell) Note:- The principal notification No. 6/2007-Central Excise (NT), dated the 12th February, 2007 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section(i) vide number G.S.R.77(E), dated the 12th May, Febuary,2007and was subsequently amended by notification No 02/2008(N.T.) dated 15th January,2008 vide number G.S.R. 32(E) dated 15th January, 2008 and further amended by notification No. 26/2008(N.T.) dated 27th May, 2008 vide number G.S.R. 404(E) dated 27th May, 2008 and further amended by notification No 37/2008(N.T.) dated 25 September, 2008 vide number G.S.R.680 (E) dated 25 September, 2008. ******************************
