Export duty on iron ore hiked to 15 per cent ad valorem irrespective of iron content - Amends Notification No. 79/2008-Customs, dated the 13th June, 2008 [TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA , EXTRAORDINARY, PART II, SECTION 3, SUB-SECTION (i)] GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE (DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE) New Delhi , the 29th April, 2010 Notification No. 56/2010-Customs G.S.R. 364(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the Notification No. 79/2008-Customs, dated the 13th June, 2008 , published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 458(E), namely :- In the said notification , for the figures and words "10% ad valorem", the figures and words "15% ad valorem" shall be substituted.
