Amendments in the Schedule 2, Table B of ITC HS Classifications of Export and Import Items, with immediate effect [TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART II SECTION 3, SUB SECTION (ii)] GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE NOTIFICATION NO. 44/2009-14 NEW DELHI, DATED 21st MAY, 2010 S.O. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 1.3 and 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14 , and also read with Notification No. 26 (RE 2008)/2004-09 dated 22.7.2008 , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Schedule 2, Table B of ITC HS Classifications of Export and Import Items , with immediate effect, as under: 2. With immediate effect, existing entries against S. During the Cotton Season, 2010-11(upto 30.09.2011) the export of cotton will be subject to a cap of 65 lakh bales or as notified by DGFT from time to time. During the Cotton Season, 2010 11(upto 30.09.2011) the export of cotton will be subject to a cap of 55 lakh bales or as notified by DGFT from time to time. Clearance of cotton consignments by Customs should be after verifying that the contracts have been registered. Further Substituted vide Notification No. 62 (RE-2010)/2009-2014, dated 02/08/2011, before it was read as:- The contracts for export of cotton shall be registered with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade prior to shipment. During the Cotton Season, 2010-11(upto 30.09.2011) the export of cotton will be subject to a cap of 65 lakh bales or as notified by DGFT from time to time. Clearance of cotton consignments by Customs should be after verifying that the contracts have been registered. A new procedure of registration is being separately notified for export of Cotton [ITC (HS) Code 5201 5203]. In respect of cotton waste including yarn waste and garneted stock [ITC (HS) Code 5202] there is no change even in the procedure to obtain registration. Further Amendment entries against Sl.
