Amended earlier Notifucation No. 44/2009-14 dated 21.05.2010 Cotton, not carded or combed free with effect from 01.10.2010 [TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART II SECTION 3, SUB SECTION (ii)] GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE Notification No. 58/2009-2014 New Delhi, the 17th August, 2010 S.O. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 1.3 and 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14 , and also read with Notification No. 26 (RE 2008)/2004-09 dated 22.7.2008 and Notification No. 44/2009-14 dated 21.05.2010 , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Schedule 2, Table B of ITC HS Classifications of Export and Import Items as under:- 2. With immediate effect, existing entries against S. Further Amended the export policy for cotton (Tariff Code 5201, 5202 and 5203) under Serial Number 161 A. In respect of all these three tariff codes the existing entry in the column Nature of Restriction has been Substituted vide Notification No. 32(RE-2010)/2009-14, dated 14/03/2011, before it was read as :- The contracts for export of cotton shall be registered with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade prior to shipment. Clearance of cotton consignments by Customs should be after verifying that the contracts have been registered. Further Amended vide Notification No. 57 (RE-2010)/2009-14, dated 09/06/2011, before it was read as:- The contracts for export of cotton shall be registered with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade prior to shipment. During the Cotton Season, 2010 11(upto 30.09.2011) the export of cotton will be subject to a cap of 55 lakh bales or as notified by DGFT from time to time. Clearance of cotton consignments by Customs should be after verifying that the contracts have been registered. Further Substituted vide Notification No. 62 (RE-2010)/2009-2014, dated 02/08/2011, before it was read as:- The contracts for export of cotton shall be registered with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade prior to shipment. During the Cotton Season, 2010-11(upto 30.09.2011) the export of cotton will be subject to a cap of 65 lakh bales or as notified by DGFT from time to time. Clearance of cotton consignments by Customs should be after verifying that the contracts have been registered. A new procedure of registration is being separately notified for export of Cotton [ITC (HS) Code 5201 5203]. In respect of cotton waste including yarn waste and garneted stock [ITC (HS) Code 5202] there is no change even in the procedure to obtain registration. Further Amendment entries against Sl.
