Setting up a sector specific SEZ for Information Technology and Information technology enabled services at Gandhinagar-Sarkhej Highway, Gandhinagar - Gujarat - De-notification of certain area notified vide Notification Number S.O. 1209(E) dated 13th May, 2009 MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) New Delhi , the 26th October, 2010 S.O. 2603(E).- Whereas M/s. Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation, a state Industrial promotion organization in the State of Gujarat, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the Act ) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information technology enabled services at Gandhinagar-Sarkhej Highway, Gandhinagar in the State of Gujarat; And whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , has notified an area of 22.2585 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification No. S.O. 1209(E) dated 13th May, 2009 ; And whereas, M/s. Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation has now proposed for the inclusion of 0.4526 hectares and de-notification of 0.4526 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government after considering the said proposal had accepted the request of GIDC; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 0.4526 hectares and de-notifies an area of 0.4526 hectares, with same resultant area 22.2585 hectares comprising of the Survey numbers and the area given below in the table namely: Sl.
