MINISTRY OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION NO. S.O. 2435(E), DATED 6-10-2010, New Delhi, the 06 th October, 2010 Subject:- Establishment of Investor Education and Protection Fund - Constitution of a Committee in supersession of Notification No. S.O. 539(E), dated 25-2-2009 S.O. 2435(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 205C of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), in supersession of the notification number S.O.539(E), dated the 25th February, 2009 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby constitutes a committee consisting of the following persons to administer the Investor Education and Protection Fund established by the Central Government vide notification number G.S.R. 749(E), dated the 1st October, 2001, namely : 1. Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) Chairman 2. Additional Secretary/Joint Secretary and Financial Advisor, MCA Member 3. Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai Member 4. Executive Director, Securities and Exchange Board of India Member 5. Managing Director, National Stock Exchange Member 6. CA Jaydeep N. Shah, FCA, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Member 7. Shri N.K. Jain, Secretary and CEO, Institute of Company Secretaries of India Member 8. Shri B.M. Sharma, President, Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India Member 9. The representative of Confederation of Indian Industry Member 10. Ms. Jyoti Vij, Assistant Secretary General, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Member 11. Shri S.K. Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal Group of Companies to represent Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India. Member 12. Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Convener 2. The members of the Committee shall hold office for a period of two years with effect from the date of Publication of this notification.
