Can any one say me when will the GST portal will be active for fresh Registrations i.e., for a new establishment.

Currently only migration is possible through Provisional ID and password.

For a new Establishment how can the Provisional ID and password get?

Just discuss this aspect with your jurisdictional VAT/Excise Authorities. They will provide you the login ID/Password.

Currently only migration of existing assesse to GSTN is in progress. New registration has not yet started.

In my view new registration under GST would start only when new law i.e. GST is in place.

You will have to wait till further communication from GSTN or CBEC.

I agree with Sh.Ganeshan Kalyani, Sir. Still software of GSTN has not been released. Only work of preliminary stage is going on. Every professional will have to be well conversant with the operating system of new software. Software is expected to be released after completion of GST/GSTN work and much before the enactment so that all the concerned persons ( departmental, trade and professionals) are able to operate it successfully.

You are requested to complete the migration to GST at the earliest. The Assessees registered from 1.10.2016 till 31.01.2017 would be issued Provisional IDs shortly.
