The customs authorities intercepted the consignments covered by eleven shipping bills at the border ostensibly in view of the aforesaid Notification No. 15 (RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 27th June, 2006 stated to be issued in exercise of power conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with Paragraph 1.3 and Paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy of 2004-09. 12. Prior to issuance of the aforesaid notification lentils were freely exportable under the Foreign Trade Policy.
