2001 (11) TMI 475 - AT - Central Excise

The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, Kolkata upheld the classification of vehicle bodies on duty paid chassis under Heading 87.07, directing the appellants to pay duty of Rs. 2,97,130.84 within six weeks. The decision was based on previous rulings including Kamal Auto Industries case. Compliance must be reported by 11-1-2002.
