The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, Kolkata, after hearing both parties, found that the goods seized for alleged illegal exportation lacked evidence. The appellants, petty shopkeepers, had valid documents for the goods being transported to their shop. The Tribunal set aside the confiscation and penalties imposed, ruling in favor of the appellants.
