2002 (11) TMI 360 - AT - Central Excise

The appeal by M/s. Euro Costpin Ltd. questioned liability for additional excise duty on yarn. The Tribunal rejected the appeal, citing precedents and holding the company liable for the duty due to clearances in the Domestic Tariff Area. The recovery of confirmed duty and penalty was stayed due to the company's registration as a sick industry.
