The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, Mumbai directed the Commissioner of Customs to give a personal hearing to a CHA whose license was suspended without a hearing, following a time lag between the case against the employees and the suspension order. The Commissioner must decide within 4 weeks whether the suspension should continue, or it will be vacated. The Tribunal's decision does not prevent the inquiry against the CHA under Regulation 23.
