2002 (7) TMI 732 - HC - Companies Law

The High Court of Allahabad found the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985 to be unconstitutional and violative of Article 14 of the Constitution. The Act was criticized for providing protection to rich businessmen but not to poor individuals facing recoveries. The petitioners were allowed to implead the Union of India, and the case was listed for further hearing on 12-8-2002.
