The Appellate Tribunal CESTAT, New Delhi allowed the rectification of mistake application filed by the appellants. The penalty amount was reduced to Rs. 1 lakh from Rs. 3,24,070/- as per Final Order No. 425/04-B dated 3-6-2004. The total demand was Rs. 56.99 lakhs, and only Rs. 3,24,070/- was upheld.
