1978 (8) TMI 212 - HC - VAT and Sales Tax

The High Court dismissed the revision petition, holding that salt petre should be taxed as an unclassified item, not as a chemical, based on common commercial understanding. The decision was based on previous authorities and settled the issue. The assessee was awarded costs of Rs. 200.
