1990 (10) TMI 45 - HC - Benami Property
The plaintiff sought to amend the plaint to include a new ground related to the "Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 1988." The defendants opposed the amendment, but the court allowed it, stating it was necessary to determine the real issues. The plaintiff was directed to pay Rs. 2,000 as costs to the defendants before the amendment could be accepted. The defendants were given four weeks to file a written statement to the amended plaint. Other pending applications were scheduled for arguments on January 11, 1991.
