2013 (7) TMI 504 - SCH - CustomsExtension of time for submission of pre deposit Held that - Petitioner to deposit the amount of Rs. 5 lakhs as directed by the CESTAT order dated January 21 2013 before August 10 2013 - time granted by the CESTAT shall be treated as extended - the appeals filed by the petitioner shall be heard on merits decided in favour of assessee.
The Supreme Court dismissed the Special Leave Petition as not pressed. The petitioner was directed to deposit Rs. 5 lakhs by August 10, 2013, to extend the time granted by CESTAT for hearing the appeals.
