1988 (8) TMI 29 - HC - Income Tax

The High Court of Punjab and Haryana directed the Tribunal to refer a question of law regarding the cost of acquisition of agricultural land for capital gain purposes to the court for its opinion. The question pertained to whether the cost should be ascertained as of February 28, 1970, or January 1, 1954.
