The High Court of Madhya Pradesh held that the Commissioner of Income-tax had jurisdiction to revise an assessment order passed by the Income-tax Officer, even if it was in compliance with the directions of the Inspecting Assistant Commissioner under section 144B of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The Tribunal's decision was overturned, and the court ruled in favor of the Revenue.
