2014 (6) TMI 1012 - AT - Central ExcisePre-deposit - non-compliance with stay order - Held that - On a query from the Bench the learned Counsel for the appellant failed to produce any evidence in respect of the list of matters or any stay order passed by the Hon ble Madras High Court. As the appellant failed to produce any order from the appellant authority we dismiss the appeal for non-compliance of the stay order of the Tribunal.
The Appellate Tribunal CESTAT Chennai directed the appellant to make a pre-deposit of Rs. 20,00,000/- by a certain date. The appellant failed to comply and did not provide evidence of any order from the higher authority, leading to the dismissal of the appeal.
