1987 (1) TMI 104 - HC - Central Excise

The High Court remitted the case back to the appellate authority to decide whether seized goods are 'Zarda'. Petitioner must deposit Rs. 1,00,000 towards excise duty. Petitioner allowed to inspect seized documents. Rule made partly absolute with no costs. Appellate authority can remit case back to lower authorities.
