1989 (9) TMI 124 - HC - Central Excise
The petitioner challenged an order of the Customs, Excise and Gold (Control) Appellate Tribunal, Southern Regional Bench, Madras, requiring a pre-deposit of Rs. 25,000. The High Court did not interfere with the Tribunal's order but allowed the petitioner to submit additional material for consideration. The petitioner was given the opportunity to make a fresh application before the Tribunal, which would then decide on the matter without being influenced by the previous order. The Tribunal was directed to consider the new application within three weeks.
