1999 (8) TMI 88 - SCH - Central Excise
The Supreme Court of India granted special leave in an appeal arising from a Bombay High Court order. The High Court set aside a notice requiring a lease deed for salt mining license renewal. The appeal became infructuous as salt is no longer excisable, and the land title issue can be resolved separately. The appeal was disposed of accordingly.
